Hue DMZ tour follows main road AH1 to Quang Tri. The south of the Demilitarized Zone, we stopping  in Long Hung Church and Quang Tri Old citadel.

DMZ is the location of a significant battle in 1972 between South and North of Vietnam. We tend to then ride on the attractive coastline from Cua Viet beach to Cua tung beach, tour the Vinh Moc tunnels and Khe Sanh combat base also.

  • Hue DMZ tour out of Hue begin at 07:00, from your hotel in Hue city center.
  • It take two more hours from Hue to Dong Ha. We saw absolutely, positively nothing DMZ-related on the way. We headed out to the Khe Sanh compact Base.
  • We stopped for ten minutes there, so we could take pictures of the very big rock. It called Rockpile. Our rider explained that it was an important and strategic lookout post during the war. Riding on Ho Chi Minh Trail, we stop in the entrance to a bridge on the water – Khe Sanh.
  • 11:00 we arrived at former site of American in Quang Tri. Now, it just a exhibition with crashed helicopters,  a crashed B52, a collection of heavy artillery bomb, gun, shells, bunker and a small new museum at center.
  • After that we back to center to have lunch, At 13:00, we departed for the Vinh Moc Tunnels. On the way, we crossed the Ben Hai River. The river is important site because it is border between north and south Vietnam in the war.
  • An hour later, finally, we visit the Vinh Moc Tunnels. The Vinh Moc tunnels are an surprising achievement of human toil and engineering. Vietnamese had constructed the tunnels to avoid bombed by American planes. During Vietnam war, people lived in here, they fell in love, got married, and had babies, children were taught in the dark narrow line.
  • We back to Hue around 4:00 pm, Hue DMZ tour end aprrox 6:30 pm.
  • Hue DMZ tour can be organized by motorbike or private car. Travel by motorbike, you can control how long you want to hang around at a given site.

We don’t include your meals so that you have the freedom to eat anything you choose. Your guides will recommend restaurants & local dishes to try and if you have any special meal requirements they will do their best to cater to them. The guides will eat with you and split the bill. For basic local food you can budget approx. $2 per person a day
