Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Hue to DMZ to Khe Sanh
- Departing from Hue we ride along highway 1 to Quang Tri town, stopping at Long Hung Church and Quang Tri Old Citadel which was a battlefield in 1972 between North and South Vietnam for 81 days and nights.
- Next we visit the Vinh Moc tunnels and explore the Demilitarised Zone DMZ, stopping for lunch at the Doc Mieu Firebase..
- In the afternoon we will have short stop at Truong Son cemetary a burial ground for soldiers who fought and died on the trail during the American War.
- This scenic route is a spectacular ride and takes us off road through the mountains, stopping to visit some Vay ethnic minority villages that live along Ho Chi Minh Trail.
- Around 5pm we arrive in Khe Sanh which was established as a forward base by General Westmoreland near Laos to secure highway 9.
- After checking into your hotel you will be free to explore the area.
Day 2: Khe Sanh to Aluoi to Prao
- After breakfast at a local restaurant we visit Khe Sanh combat base and Ta Con Airbase. Then we head out across the famous Dakrong bridge on the Ho Chi Minh Trail, near the town of Ta Rut we will visit the Pa Co minority people and walk through their village.
- Then we ride about 110 km to Aluoi, during this time we cross one of the longest and most stunning passes in Vietnam while travelling on a new and quiet road, through amazing scenery of primitive forests in the imposing Truong son mountain range.
- We stop for lunch in Aluoi town, then in the afternoon we travel on to Prao and for this 100km you will be surprised with the jungle, mountains, waterfalls and the quietness, peace and amazing views.

Day 3: Prao to Hoi An we have 2 more Option
- Option 1: Prao – Da Nang – Marble Mountain – Hoi An
After breakfast time, we go on driving down to Da Nang city On the way, we stop at hai van pass and China Beach and Marble mountain, named after the ancient oriental philosophy consisting of 5 elements creating the universe: metal, wood, water, fire and earth. Finally, we reach Hoi An in the late afternoon. The rest of time, free yourselves to explore Hoi An ancient town
- Option 2: Prao – Thanh My – My Son Sanctuary – Hoi An
we continue 52km to Thanh My on the Ho Chi Minh Trail. We cross the river by local boat and ride along a village road to My Son – a World Heritage site. We stop at My Son to explore the ruins and take many photos.
Then we continue on to Hoi An where we finish the tour.
